PFT: Ochocinco buys dinner for 64 strangers in Indy

On November 14, the Bengals will play the Colts in Indianapolis. On Wednesday, receiver Chad Ochocinco spread some advance goodwill by buying dinner at St. Elmo’s Steakhouse in Indy for 64 of his closest friends — whom he had never before met.

Media stocks rise: Apple TV

NEW YORK – MEDIA stocks gained more than the market in early trading on Wednesday ahead of details of a new online TV product announcement expected from Apple Inc later in the day. Stocks of content owners like Comcast Corp, CBS Corp, Cablevision Systems Corp, New York Times Co and News Corp were up between 4 and 6 per cent.

Motorola buys Web app developer in effort to build Android apps

Motorola appears ready to do more development on top of Android, with its acquisition of 280 North , a company that develops Web applications. The deal happened “earlier this summer,” according to Motorola, and was first reported on Wednesday by TechCrunch. Motorola did not disclose the purchase price.
